Castello di Lispida Monselice

Castello di Lispida offers guests to the region of Veneto a unique location, in the heart of the Euganean Hills Nature Reserve, close to the medieval village of Arquà Petrarca and within easy driving distance of both Padova and Venice.
The earliest existing documentation concerning the Lispida estate dates back to 1150, in the form of an edit issued by Pope Eugene the 3rd, confirming the property's ownership as that of the Augustine Monastic order.

Lispida served as monastery until 1792, when Earl Corinaldi purchased the property and proceeded to construct the present complex on the foundations of the ancient medieval structure. Corinaldi also commissioned the building of immense cellars to house the wine produced from grapes grown in the estate's extensive vineyards.

Some 90 hectares of land surround the Castello, featuring landscaped gardens, woodland, vineyards and an attractive lake, the water of which is warmed by natural hot springs. The thermal water and mud produced in the area provide the basis for numerous health and beauty treatments available in the prestigious spa establishments in the vicinity of the Castello Lispida.

Guest accommodation is available a series of luxuriously appointed apartments situated in the Castello, the Torretta and Granaio buildings, each offering a delightful blend of old world elegance and an impressive range of modern amenities.
